About curation

I am interested in anachronism and genealogy, in articulating curatorial narratives that bring into in the present some of art history’s long-standing interrogations. ‘Old’ notions such as the sublime or the monumental, allegory or transformation become dynamic, transversal operations in contemporary critical discourse, ways of making sense of the present, of our social, political or ecological predicaments. My concern has been to turn the potential abstraction of such notions into exhibition forms or curatorial processes, so that the exhibition itself is like an allegory, or a monument, or can be understood as being itself in a state of transformation. I have been thinking about exhibitions as sites of visual and critical conversation between artistic positions, images and historical moments.
