Komiya uses the way of rethinking several norms and forms themselves in music (score, performance, listening, etc.). For example, in his "VOX-AUTOPOIESIS" series, the usual concepts of score, interpretation, and composition overturn in its recursive system in which singers sight read and sing generated scores on the spot, and their voices become the algorithm for score-generating. As the background, there is his question and the beginning of his career as being educated in traditional classical music. By using generative methods with media technology, he proposes new forms of music that can be in the contemporary age.
