Purpose of the residency

The project, which I am planning, has significant meaning to both of China and Japan. For both regions are very important to cultural development of East asia
As it is well known that Japan is a unique region, which is proficient in combining different cultural elements together to create unique productions. Personally, I appreciate those elements and I propose it should be introduced to China. Because it will assist Chinese cutural industry , which is still in process. On the contrary, the project not only regain an interest in Japanese culture form China but also makes Chinese reconize the value of Japanese culture-related production. Therefore, the barrage, which has existed between Japan and china will be removed. And in the future, the needs for Japanese cultural will be increased.

Achievements of the residency

As I addressed in the summary for TWS (Tokyo Wonder Site), the TV documentary, which I have been planning, has significant meaning to both of China and Japan. For both regions are very important to cultural development of East Asia.
As matter of fact, Japan is a unique region, which is proficient in combining different cultural elements together to create unique productions.

Personally, I appreciate those elements and I propose it should be introduced to China. Because, in my opinion, it will assist Chinese cultural industry, which is still in process. The TV documentary will help not only to regain an interest in Japanese culture form China but also to make Chinese recognize the value of Japanese culture. Therefore, the barrage, which has existed between Japan and china, will be removed. And the needs for understanding of Japanese culture will be increased in the future.

During my stay in TWS (Tokyo Wonder Site), I not only visited several museums, galleries and Art institutions but also interviewed local art critics, professors, and curator and art directors. Through either of the interview or the conversation, I learned that because of limitation of natural resources, Japan realizes that Art industry, as content business, mostly requires human resources and a productive system. So Japan is now more focusing on building infrastructure and developing former system into more productive one to create positive work environment for artists. The efforts, which Japan have paid, are gaining recognitions form oversea. Of course, Japan is the one who has benefited most.
As the producer of the TV documentary, I feel obliged to introduce those Japan's practices in creating infrastructure for Art industry development for China's immature Art industry system.
