プロフィール

1973年、沖縄生まれ。1996年多摩美術大学美術学部絵画科油画専攻卒業、1999年メリーランド・インスティテュート・カレッジ・オブ・アート(ボルティモア、メリーランド州、アメリカ)Post Baccalaureate卒業、2001年スクール・オブ・ビジュアルアーツ（ニューヨーク、アメリカ）MFA修了。近年の主な個展に、「journey」（Shoshana Wayne Gallery、カリフォルニア州サンタモニカ、アメリカ、2011年）、「Earn a lot of money, no need send any letter, send money home first」（Josee Bienvenu Gallery、ニューヨーク、アメリカ、2010年）、「ひいおばあさんはUSA」（上野の森美術館、東京、日本、2010年、沖縄画廊、沖縄、日本、2009年）、「Giving Tree Project」（Murata & Friends Gallery、ベルリン、ドイツ、2007年）、「水に浮かぶ島」（アサヒ・アート・コラボレーション、東京、日本、2006年）等。グループ展に、「Art Taipei」（台北世界貿易センター、台湾、2011年）、モスクワ・ビエンナーレ（モスクワ、ロシア、2011年）、「六本木クロッシング2010展」（森美術館、東京、日本、2010年）、「Ties Over Time:Japanese Artits and America」（アメリカ大使館、東京、日本、2010年）、「愛についての100の物語」（金沢21世紀美術館、石川、日本、2009年）、「Greater New York」（ニューヨーク近代美術館P.S.1、クイーンズ、ニューヨーク、2005年）、「横浜トリエンナーレ2005」（横浜、日本、2005年）等がある。
