Born in Okinawa, Japan in 1973. Received his BFA from Tama Art University in Tokyo in 1996, graduated from Post Baccalaureate in Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore, MD, USA in 1999, and received MFA from the school of Visual Arts, New York in 2001.
