Born in Yokohama, Japan. Lives and works in Tokyo. Graduated with an MA from The University of Tokyo (Interdisciplinary Information Studies) in 2026.
Artist, researcher, and improviser working across sound art and interdisciplinary practice through performances and installations using self-built devices, exploring DIY practices as a means of technological and creative autonomy. Her interests are gaps between instruments and embodiment and communication technologies and improvisation,. Based on them, seeking the poetry and narratives they evoke. Graduate of Musashino Art University, IAMAS, and the University of Tokyo.

About works / performance

For the recent years, through my experience of improvising via video chat during the COVID-19 pandemic, I became interested in the gap between what is and is not transmitted through communication. What gets through, and what does not? What do communication technologies, designed to transmit information transparently, make invisible in the process? I am interested in the hidden histories, relationships, and stories that emerge between sending and receiving. Through self-built devices using sound, light, and radio waves, I explore what is lost, transformed, or unexpectedly created through acts of transmission.
