Profile
Born in 1980. Graduated from the master course of Tokyo University of the Arts in 2005. Recent main solo-exhibition is Plastic Flux (Lower Akihabara, 2009). Recent main group-exhibitions are Tokyo Art-Power Plant (Tokyo University of the Arts, 2011), Dojima River Biennial (Dojima River Forum, 2011), Matsudo Artline Project (Matsudo City, 2010), Vivid Material (Tokyo University of the Arts, 2008). A previous recipient of the Japanese Government Overseas Study Program for Artists(2005).
About works / performance
On the basis of an interest in natural phenomena and energy, I have developed my installation and painting work dealing with water as a main motif. Also after the 3.11 disaster, while taking the matters of electricity supply and natural disaster into account, I have carried out the collaborative project with other artists to envision the possible relationship between energy and our lives in the 21st century.
