About works / curations

As a media artist with training and background in experimental cinema, IP has an interdisciplinary and inter-medial interest that extends his creative pursuit and artistic output that goes beyond the conventional screen. "screen.play( )" is a neologism that he created to refer to his recent artistic undertaking that stands in the intersection of cinema, video game and digital art. The idea of "screen.play( )" points to a hybrid kind of artistic practice that attempts to borrow and fuse elements from screen cultures, ludic forms and computational media. While sharing similar elements, strategies and concerns with video game practices, the idea of "screen.play( )" aims to create a slight departure by placing a stronger emphasis on the hybridity, fluidity and instability of the form.
