Andreas Hartmann (*1983) is a Berlin-based filmmaker.
Graduated from Film and Television Academy (HFF) „Konrad Wolf" Potsdam-Babelsberg in 2011. His works have been screened at many international film festivals, e.g. in Toronto, São Paulo, Busan and Berlin. In 2014 he was Artist-in-residence by the Goethe-Institut at the Villa Kamogawa in Kyoto. In 2017 he got nominated for the prestigious German TV award "Grimme-Preis" and received the "Gerd Ruge Grant". His third feature documentary, A FREE MAN (2017), won the "Busan Cinephile Award" for the Best World Documentary at the 22nd Busan International Film Festival.
