In my practice, I create sculptures and drawing-based works that emerge from observing and abstracting everyday objects. I focus on functional items—chairs, car seats, deck chairs, armchairs, or paravents—exploring their objectness and how they can be transformed through formal reduction, material translation, and spatial reconfiguration. Through these processes, I develop a visual language that unfolds across serial work groups. My pieces range from large-scale spatial sculptures to smaller objects or watercolors that hover between two and three dimensions. Material is central and shifts with each series, and in recent years my focus has increasingly turned to interiors and the formal and material qualities of everyday environments.
