Purpose of the residency
While this is not my first visit to Tokyo, the residency will mark my first extended stay in the city. The main purpose of my residency is to research Tokyo's artistic scene, visiting institutions, exhibitions, and meeting with artists working in and across a range of media. I hope to build on my networks with a view to future projects and creative exchanges across Japan, New Zealand and Australia.
Plan during the residency
-Visit museums and galleries
-Meeting with artists, curators and gallerists
-Develop ideas for future projects
-Use TOKAS as a base to visit museums and galleries in areas both in and outside Tokyo
-Renew acquaintances with friends and colleagues
