Purpose of the residency
The first purpose is to create new series of "Solgrafitti -I was here-" which aims to link the places and myself with sun lights and my action to shoot and to research the histories and native cultures.
These practices would be an opportunity to reconsider my artworks from other points of view and enable me to expand my expressive styles. Besides, looking for some common points between Japan and Europe bring me deeper mutual perceptions.
Plan during the residency
First month: Fieldworks and consideration about the direction of artwork. I will do fieldworks to consider about the place for shooting. There is a history that Celt people had been lived natively.I will research it comparing to Japan with the perspective of Animism. Concurrently, I will research art scene there, and try to communicate with people as much as possible.
Second month: Establish the direction of artwork, and procure materials for exhibition. I will start shooting with the conclusion from the research of the first month.
Final month: Finish shooting and prepare for the exhibition. Visiting Art Basel, I will research and attempt to communicate with people who involved in arts and cultures as much as possible.
