Purpose of the residency
During my residency in Tokyo I´m planing to experiment with working in public in the tradition of my artistic praxis. Besides I´ll focus on contemporary challenges of the the japanese society bringing peoples attention to environmental aspects. Why do we ignore risks and develop systems or spaces that can easily do harm or are made to collapse like the nuclear power stations or dangerous financial models? Artists can not ignore certain developments of our societies. I believe we have a responsibility towards showing different ways of understanding our surrounding world. Raising questions that might not to be seen by in everyday politics, creating space that support criticality and presenting diverse ways of participation and involvement. I want to look on the latest developments in the Japanese politics imagining how an energy turnaround will affect the modern living in Tokyo. Plan during the residency
