Purpose of the residency

There are 2 stages to my Project.
First stage is the production of the ballet 'Love the Magician', by Manuel de Falla in the original version.
Second, to stage Spanish Opera in collaboration with a chamber orchestra.
My activity during the first stage will be connected to the preparation and staging of the ballet 'Love the Magician', by Manuel de Falla. Auditions, rehearsals, meetings.
The second stage of my project is to stage productions of Zarzuela (spanish Opera) in Tokyo during the conmemoration of the 400th aniversary of Japan-Spain international relationships (year 2013-2014).
For that reason, i will start targeting Japanese musicians based in Tokyo to establish a little to medium size chamber orchestra and small to medium size auditoriums to host the future productions of spanish Operas.
While in Tokyo, i will train young Japanese musicians about the spanish-style of performing music as part of my intercultural program.
