Purpose of the residency
In this different artistic surrounding and the background of my recent works and the future projects, I expect to enhance my contents, to develop new competencies such as conceptual and operational authority for my work. My line of research is mainly devoted by the continuos fascination by the tracking down, detecting and capturing situations, fragments and details. I follow the edges of the common and the remaining, which fall out of the system. I would like to develope and find new impacts during my stay. I want immersing myself in the culture and everyday life of Tokyo, looking forward to interact with the other residents; the local scene and discover new means of expression.
Plan during the residency
I have visited Japan, also Tokio, in 2008; 2009 and 2011 for working stays and artistic research, and my interest is still growing. The immersion features of culture, architecture and landscape have left their mark in my works. therefore I feel a strong correspondance to space, time; memories and landscape. by following the common and the remaining I'm searching for an abbondanee place, house, institution or fabric in tokyo. There by reffering the story and the 'hidden memories' of the place itself I will research for an in situ work. If appreciated looking forward to interact with artist at TWS and to widen an existent network for collaboration in the future.
