About works

While reflecting on the history and stories inherent in characters unique to the Sinosphere, Tsuyuki is also intrigued by new possibilities for the form of characters. She is interested in how writing acts as a bridge between writer and reader, anchoring the awareness of "I am here." Words are a deeply personal means of self-expression, close to the core of one’s being, but they only exist when shared within rules. She is drawn to how personal reflection reveals universal elements. By accepting what cannot be known or understood, she recognizes what can. She wishes to explore these opposing ideas more deeply, moving between them.
