Profile

Born in 1977. Graduated from Universität der Künste Berlin (University of Fine Arts Berlin )(Industrial Design / degree Diplom Designer) in 2008.
Recent 5 main activities are:

* 02.04. - 12.09.2016 - Reflex in the exhibition PRAGMATISM AND BEAUTY during XXI Triennale International Exhibition in Milan, Italy

* 10-13.03.2016 - new project, hotel for wild pollinators in the city, in the exhibition THE CITY AND THE FOREST during Design March in Reykjavik, Iceland

* 18.01. - 24.01.2016 Reflex presented in the exhibition BRIGHT NEW. POLISH IDEAS APPLIED in imm Cologne, Germany

* 10.11. - 10.12.2015 Reflex presented in the conference and the exhibition "Design w przestrzeni publicznej. Zmiana" presenting the examples of design in a public space. Zamek Cieszyn / Cieszyn, Poland

* 09.2015 - Lunar, light created together with the Aquaform company launch onto the market.

Asia Piaścik's work has been presented in many polish and international exhibitions, like: Łódź Design Festival , Gdynia Design Days, during Arena Design Poznań, as a finalist in the competition FUTURE GENERATION 2011, or during the PRZETWORY (creative recycling residency in Warsaw), where her work was awarded twice (2009 and 2010). She took parts few times in Berlin Design Festival: Designmai (2006, 2007) and DMY Berlin (2010). In 2013 Asia created her own stand during Salone Satellite on Salone Internazionale del Mobile Milano. 2014 Project 'Reflex' by Asia Piaścik was awarded the first prize in the Competition BMW/URBAN/TRANSFORMS, looking for concepts for improving the quality of life in the city. In January 2015 - HARVEST , project of an energy harvesting kitchen was awarded with a Distinction in the Siemens Future Living Award 2014. In February 2015 Asia's work was presented in the Greenhouse Selection of Stockholm Furniture and Light Fair.
