OHKOJIMA Maki

Profile

Born in Tokyo 1987. Finished her master degree of Art and Design in Joshibi University in 2011. "VOCA 2014"(The Ueno Royal Museum) is set for her latest exhibition.

Her main exhibitions are "Chanting genes"(2013, VOLCANOISE), "In The Forest"(2012, Alternative Space, SEIBU Shibuya, Bldg B F8), "The big forest comes down, from sea of universe, like this"(2012, Shimane Museum of Ancient Izumo), "The call of the animals became the voice of the spirits, Kamnung brought rain, and people to cultivate the ground"(2012, island MEDIUM), "TWS-Emerging 138: orange moon and light blue sun"(2010, Tokyo Wonder Site Hongo) etc.

Started the project "The Knock" that creates a wall paintng at people's houses in 2013, and participated artist-in-residence programme in Mexico and Poland. Created a wall painting as part of the Wall Art Festival 2013 in India.
