About works / performance

Based on the climate and experiences of the Kii Peninsula, which is his roots, and the philosophy of Kumagusu Minakata, a naturalist from the same hometown, he works on the theme of "the relationship and distance between nature and people."Focusing on natural topography, ecosystems, culture and beliefs in Japan and overseas, he creates works such as photographs, videos, performances and installations from fieldwork. He questions boundaries, touches the invisible, and sometimes develops the process and action like a festival.
