Lillian FELLMAN

Lillian Fellmann (1973) is a curator and culture critic. A Fulbright Fellow 2003-6, her current position include artistic director of the Kunsthalle Luzern,director/founder of the culture initiative internationalcoffeeshop.org, Society for Critique and Good Togetherness, advisory board member in the project Art & Development by the Swiss Embassy in Skopje, Macedonia. She was a guest lecturer at the University for Arts Zurich at the Curating Department MAS 2007/8. From 2004-6 she was the Associate Editor of the non-profit organisation AC Institute in New York, and Program Associate at the Vera List Center for Art and Politics at The New School University in New York. She worked from 1997 to 2003 as an culture journalist for the Neue Zurcher Zeitung and other newspapers in Switzerland before moving to the U.S. Fellmann holds a MA in Linguistics, Political Philosophy, and Film from the University of Zurich (2000), and an M.A. Critical and Curatorial Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles (2005). Her academic work and curatorial practice focus on art research and politics in late capitalist culture, transnational artistic exchange, and time.
