Julián Elvira is one of the most prominent flutists in the contemporary music scene in Spain. Besides composition, his prominent performing techniques and distinctive musical sense are beyond the scope of simply a performer, and open up a completely new imaginative area. The original flute -"Flauta Prónomo"- in which he newly developed, is rich in a variety of performing expressions such as tone and nuance and is said to be the revolutionary invention since the existing Boehm system.
