Born in 1963 Graduated from Athens University in 1987

 Barbara Dukas , is director, actor and teacher. She has directed  in Greece and abroad, theatre, dance and music theatre .
Since 1986, she teaches : Improvisation and Acting, as well as Ancient Tragedy and Theatre Anthropology  For her work 'Lament in Greek Tragedy?Human Deliation of Body Unconcious ',she was awarded three times:['Multi?theatre'Symposium (Beaubourg Cultural Center, June 1991), Latin-American Theatre conference (Chile, July 1992), 'Body Diversity' conference, Paris, 2007, by the Unesco Prix d' Excellence of Alain Dizon ? Theatre Anthropology Foundation.
She also teaches 'Basic Principles in Direction' [Athens University Theatre  School Graduates Society]
She co-operates with Makis Faros a visual artist, musician and director in this project and others that concern installation and video creation in performance as;
'Bacchae-Parodos- Intro' an approach in Euripide's tragedy ,2002, Argo Theatre-Athens- ALTER-ART Company - E.C. Culture Program 'Trans-movements' , 2006-2007, Megaron of Music ?Athens Concert Hall
Philosophy on stage, [Pythagoras- Irakleitos-Thalis] a theatrical approach of Greek Philosophers e.t.c.

About works / performance
Coming from a very ancient culture,  focusing on the human adventure, care to  follow what determines man since the dawn of humanity , and reflects in our contemporary culture  the  perpetual tragedy of existence
