Born in Taipei in 1994. Lives and works in London and Taiwan.
Chen's practice reads the systems that quietly structure everyday life — interfaces, infrastructure, mass production — as artistic media in their own right. Rather than inventing new material, she attends to the agency and affordance already embedded within these systems, treating them as sites of creative intervention.

About works/performance

Rooted in industrial design, Chen's practice began with a close reading of manufactured objects and the invisible logics embedded within them. Through site-responsive installation and live performance, she builds situations of subtle tension that expand materiality beyond the familiar, drawing on embodied gesture and movement to make these structures newly perceptible.
In recent years this ethos has extended from the physical to the intangible. Turning the same attentive eye to internet culture, she is currently working with digital platforms as sites of intervention — probing their affordances, redirecting their anticipated functions, and exposing the agency already latent within them.
