Baile makes moving images, installations, objects and writing that explores the quiet ideologies and technologies that organize the movement of value, people, and thought. He uses personal relationships and experiences as starting points for research into a specific event or story. The subject matter of his work is diverse, from the South Asian informal money transfer system known as hawala, to a small company town in the Midwest of the United States. His practice is split between research-driven work, and narrative cinema and fiction.
