Mirte Bogaert creates and collaborates in interdisciplinary performing arts projects that integrate body, movement, objects, sound, light, and text. Using strategies of translation and cohesive creation, she intertwines diverse media into integrated works. At the core of her practice is the body and its movements, inspired by observations of everyday life. She is particularly interested in subtle details, such as eye movement and breath, and their roles in creating layered interpretations of the moving body. Guided by her fascination with human relationships, sound, and movement, she explores simultaneous creation, with rhythm as a foundational element.
