Soya Arakawa was born in Shizuoka Japan in 1984. He obtained his BFA in sculpture at the Kanazawa College of Art. His work "Noh Video" was shown at the Nantes Contemporary Art Biennale in 2009. In 2008 he participated in TWS's Taipei-Tokyo Exchange Residency Program. In 2009 he took part in TWS Hongo showcasing his video work.
