I will show the series of works that have been developing since 2012 as well as new installations that I will make during my stay at Bethanien.
The exhibition will enable me to review my artistic developments to-date, making the most of my base in Berlin.
I will bring together the range of unique expressions from collaborators by making full use of Bethanien's position as a place of active exchange and its vast network. The installations, which explore sounds and language, will be presented in the studio and as a performance.
As part of my working process, I will regularly offer my studio as a place for a wide range of exchanges by holding open studios and workshops. I also hope to expand my network of collaborators to support my work and linguistic research, in consideration of future activities in Berlin.
One of installation (A), is an expansion of the "Echoic Billboard" series. The installation involves collaborating with people to create drawing and collages on the studio walls. The other work is an open-air sound installation (B) that brings together the voices of collaborators to construct a soundscape.
・In April: Exhibition of existing works since 2012. Production of a field recording and research of the area around Bethanien for (B).
・Begin. May - Mid June: Workshops for general public and co-production of installations (A) and (B).
・Mid. June - End June: Final exhibition to present new works. The opening will feature an outdoor sound installation.
