The three-month project is developed and thought by artist Sako Kojima who will set up a group exhibition as part of Kojima's private collection. Various works from a group of artists will be displayed at the Tokyo Wonder Site Berlin as part of the residency program of this Institute. Payment for the rental of the works shall not be cash. Each artist shall decide the exchange task which Kojima will have to undertake for renting their works. All documents regarding rental procedures will be displayed in the exhibition space as well as records kept of Kojima's project in renting the participating Artists' work. This non cash transactions bartering act represents the clear and true relationship between art and its people by giving a chance to rethink about art and society and their inclinations toward money games. The essential power of art against the true happiness of the human being.
During the first two months of the residence, visit the artists live in Berlin, explain about this project, select works from their studio and exhibit them as Kojima's private collection during the last one month. And each artists decide the contents of Kojima's equal exchange labour for payment for the rental of the works. Such tasks may vary from working as the artist assistant, cleaning, cutting hair, to sewing holes in socks, and so on. Kojima wishes to meet the artists' needs by wearing a Hamster costume by the time the performance takes place. All documents regarding rental procedures will be displayed in the Tokyo wonder site exhibition space as well as records kept of Kojima's project in working for renting the participating Artists' work.
