Purpose of the residency
In a country with a multiracial culture and history, like Tai-pei, I presume that we could perceive people's wisdom and desire to live together with others from their daily behavior, gesture and life style. This intelligence is a "form" of behavior for mutual understanding with others. In this residence program, I will explore local people's daily life aiming to find a behavioral form of mutual understanding and reapply the form into my art works.
Plan during the residency
In Tai-pei, a country with multi-culture and rich history, I will make art works referring to a form of communication that people apply to their daily life. For example, "have a meal with father", one of my continuing video performing project, could be carried into in Tai-pei. In order to put the project into practice, I will start with a research on a relationship between parents and their child, people's behavior or cultural manner of having a meal in Tai-pei.
