Purpose of the residency
To create one issue of Megawords magazine about the city and people of Tokyo
Plan during the residency
During this time, we will produce one issue of Megawords magazine about the city and people of Tokyo.
• We will work with one Japanese photographer and one Japanese writer to generate material for the magazine that comes from a Japanese perspective.
• We will also work with some of the footage and photographs that Mattias and Mischa generated during their residency.
• In advance of arriving in Japan, we will use our existing Japanese contacts to start the process, so that when we arrive we can begin editing this material. We can then focus on generating new material during out stay.
• We will print the magazine in Japan.
• We would like to host two release exhibitions for the issue of the magazine. One will be at the end of our residency in Tokyo, and the other will be in Philadelphia.
