Purpose of the residency
This is my first opportunity of Artist-in-residence in foreign country. I want to realize "My landscape and public space Intervention project" in Taipei through trial and error. This project's process will allow me to approach to this city with various ways. I hope this opportunity will give me the discovery and interaction that I may only get through my project in Taipei.
Plan during the residency
My main project title is "Synchronized to the Scene" in this residence. "Synchronized to the scene" will be performance and video piece. Two or more performers will mimic the movement of the people in scene in real-time while I record the scene using video. I plan to shoot and audition for participants after location scouting all around Taipei. I want to keep my plan flexible so I can adapt to the specific conditions on-location in Taipei. If possible, I want to do other small projects and researches in parallel.
