Purpose of the residency
I have heard that the creators who came from various countries gather at residence program. "Facing self in the big world" ,one of the themes of my art work until now, changes how at Aoyama as an international place. How does it share the sense of values and view which I had until now,and the posture in work with others? I would like to consider those things.
Plan during the residency
Tokyo is a center in economy,culture, and politics of Japan. I will research the various social signs intermingled there. Because I will have an open studio several times per year in the room in which I live usually, I would like to make art works about the theme of living also. By stay in a big city called Tokyo as a creator, what can the word "hometown" make a meaning? I will consider about that and make art works.
