Purpose of the residency
My intention is to use a possible residency at the Tokyo Wonder Site to explore the possibility of "opening up" an the project I am currently developing, of building an art project in relation to an urban transformation program in Scandinavia, for a larger dialogue than the physical domain of a city. The intention is to use the residency in Tokyo to explore the possibility of opening the project for a larger dialogue.
Plan during the residency
I will during the stay start what will be an ongoing investigation the next couple of years to look into and invite art actors to work experimentally with the lighter form of urban development, such as mobile architecture that can follow the construction process of a city. I will look at cross-sector collaborations, alternative connections and possible collaborations between artists, city planners and architects and landscape architects. Attention will be paid to sites, structures, architecture and landscape of social function. How to work so that the arts not becomes instrumentalised in relation to architecture and urban design but becoming part of the development, working closely with the teams that are developing the area.
