My working process is open ended as I feel it is important to allow new experiences to influence thinking and the creative process. I intend to have a very open attitude towards the work I will be doing during the residency since it is highly a experimental process so alongside the TWS program my studio will be open at all times for interactions and interruptions by all the creators in residence. Beside my own work I will seek to establish collaborations, both temporary and long-term, with other creators at TWS and take part in the Tokyo art world. I have a fruitful history of collaborations with other artists and find it very enriching to my art practice, life and environment. I want to explore and find out how this can contribute to my work and I am positive that my experience of being in Tokyo would have an exciting, positive and long lasting influence on my practice.

I want to utilize myself as an vehicle to explore as much as possible of the psychogeography of Tokyo. My findings will play a significant part in my new project entitled Sorte Sua Contentus. The project encompass personal history, gardens as an metaphor for life, constraints of physical and mental movement, appropriation of cultural clichés, readings and misreadings that occur at the intersection of cultures and between the individual and culture.
