Purpose of the residency

We want to create in Tokyo one of the Lunar Park's scene/episodes. Lunar Park is a Project with several scenes, like a future thematic park who tells the birth of a new human Era. Also we want to start a project called Memories of Wonderland where two recognized writers have just released their latest publication. The book reveals through a series of unreal characters, the impressions of the two authors to discover Japan. The two authors do not exist, its publication do not exist, just exist an interview where the writers tell us how to have built the identity of the characters while we can visualize the scenarios and situations that they have recreated through their texts.

Plan during the residency

OPEN STUDIO 2010

We would like to take this opportunity for to know the city and his art context while we want to work in our projects Lunar Park and Memories of Wonderland and at the same time work in specific projects in situ.

Achievements of the residency

Our stay in Aoyama Tokyo wonder site as a artists in residence has been very fruitful. We find in this residency many facilities and personal attentions for develop our project. During the stay we start working in new projects result of the residence and the city impressions makes it in us.
Te relation and the dialog and ideas interchange with the other artists residents has been vey rich for us as in a personal and professional way, and the relationship with the art context has been very stimulant and we have now a first an idea about the art context in Tokyo, Japan, even Asia.

Outcome of the exchange

The final presentation permitted us to show our work to an specialized public and is a great opportunity for us.

Mental Power
2010 Mental Power is a video made for a curated show where the idea was to do a exhibition with 6€ as budget for artist. In our case we made a video which is the result the material generated in the inversion of 6€ (around 600yens) in xocolate eggs with surprise.
