Having engaged my independent curatorial research and critical writing with the study of the ideological and spatial correlations entertained between artistic practices and the public sphere in contemporary China, I am looking at deepening an understanding of such structures of inclusion and exclusion in comparative analysis with Japan, while delineating the poetics and politics of critical action spaces as product of specific spatial cultures and aesthetic traditions.
