OPEN SITE 9 | Open Call Program【Exhibition】
Artist Kubotaoguiss Tomohiro and art historian Yoshimura Shin take as their starting point a Parisian landscape painting signed by painter Oguiss Takanori. Their project aims to spatially manifest the fragmented 20th century art histories of Japan and France, incorporating personal memories and elements of fiction. In searching for Oguiss Takanori, a public figure who nonetheless remains elusive, their journey occasionally veers into fantasy and shifts focus toward even more obscure subjects, presenting a vista of various potential pasts rather than a single historical narrative.

COM_COURSE is a collaborative unit formed by artist Kubotaoguiss Tomohiro and art historian Yoshimura Shin in 2020. They playfully explore topics that diverge from their individual fields of research. Currently, they are producing works that delve into obfuscated historical narratives.
