YONEZAWA Shu “no name”
OPEN SITE 7 | Open Call Program【Exhibition】
This exhibition was inspired by spaces that are inhabited by “non-existent existing” animated characters.
When multiple images are shown in succession, the characters come to life. Depicting the “intermediate” state between the images makes the characters move in a lively way.
When the characters move, interceding between the two image frames, it creates the potential for infinite time in the gap. This might be seen as a spirit body lacking physical form.

Born in Tokyo in 1999. Artist and animator. Graduated from Tama Art University, Department of Information Design, Media Art Course. She is interested
in the physicality of characters in current digital animation and the atmosphere of the space where the animation lives.
