OPEN STUDIO 2021-2022
Tokyo Arts and Space (TOKAS) Residency has been providing creators from around the world working in various genres from fine arts, design, architecture to curatorial work, with space and time to engage in creation of works or research through the Creator-in Residence Program. However, the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) has been forcing most of the creators to postpone their stay in Tokyo since April 2020. Under such circumstances, Kuroda Daisuke is joining in our Local Creator Residency Program, as the only resident of May-July 2021.
While conducting research on public sculptures in Tokyo, Kuroda has started new creation with the hints he got from the unusually quiet residency environment. Through the 3-day OPEN STUDIO, Kuroda will show his research and work in progress. A talk event with a guest speaker is also scheduled on 7/17 (Sat).
