About Work In Progress of TWS
TWS has been conducting a variety of programs designed to support young creators, including TWS-Emerging, open calls for exhibition proposals, hook-ups with universities, etc.
A new program focusing on and exhibiting the creation process of artworks was just added to the lineup. The purpose of this program is to locate new artistic potential in the shared process of repeated dialogue and exchange between artists and a variety of individuals they meet along the way. It will at once generate opportunities for a large number of people to get in direct touch with the refreshingly prismatic sensibilities of artists. The first work-in-progress session features Yuichiro Tamura and Yu Araki, both of whom have been exploring possibilities of new media art. Likening their relationship to that of "half-brothers", the two artists embark on a journey with the aim to define together with many other "explorers" the genre's horizon, while taking a continuously questioning and wondering approach to the new relationships between places, society, time, people and actions that emerge from the expanding realm of IT technology.
"Suspended in Space are countless fingers, which have been launched from all around the world.
The fingers land on the Moon and begin stirring the lunar surface."
