Creator-in-Residence organises monthly public program, "OPEN STUDIO" which is for the public to see the creative processes of residing artists, to communicate and to exchange ideas about their works. In each studio, the artists present the progress of their works or research in various ways. In the OPEN STUDIO of this month, we hold two intriguing talks. An emerging composer, Dai Fujikura, who is becoming a focus of world attention, gives a presentation about his creative activities and pieces of his own composition. An active artist, Tsuyoshi Ozawa will talk about "Journey and Creation" based on his diverse working experience abroad. Please don't miss this precious opportunity.

Profile
Tsuyoshi Ozawa(Artist)
Born in 1965, Tokyo. As a student at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, Ozawa began his work called "Jizo-ing" in which he photographs Jizo statues that he has made himself and then situated in different environments. In 1993, he began creating portable, miniature galleries from milk boxes, naming them, Nasubi Gallery or Consultation Art. In 1999, he planned Museum of Soy Sauce Art in what can be considered an ironic statement directed at the Japanese art history. In 2001, he began "Vegetable Weapon", a series of photographic portraits of young women holding weapons made from vegetable. In 2004, he had his first solo museum exhibition "Answer with Yes and No!" at the Mori Art Museum, Tokyo. In 2009, solo exhibition "The Invisible Runner Strides on" at the Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art.
