About works / performance

 Under the title United Planets I am working on a cycle, based on terrestrial or human presence in the universe. As an atmospheric backdrop, each planet represents another series of projects within which the same theme and form are further explored in-depth. A specifically phrased question or a hypothesis becomes the basis for the creation process as meticulous laboratory research: How does 'little' humankind relate to the immensity of the universe? During creation I utilize different disciplines and depending on the content I choose a suitable form, location and team of co-workers. Most of the time I work in situ. In that sense unusual locations fulfill an important role as active partner and as source of inspiration.
