Janwillem SCHROFER
Profile
Born in Amsterdam in 1945. After being involved in a range of welfare and cultural fields as a policy and organizational consultant and a project developer responsible for planning the process of building new facilities and complex organizations, Schrofer served as President of the Rijksakademie from 1982 through 2010. During this period he fostered a global network of artists and artists as the Rijksakademie evolved into an internationally renowned research residency. Today he is active as a consultant, as an advisor to the Ministry of Culture, and as board member or chairman of several cultural organizations, maintaining a strong focus on supporting artists and their projects. Creation Center (GCC).
