Born in 1967, Tokyo, Japan. Graduated with MFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 1997. Suzuki is interested in water and its therapeutic qualities, how it sustains all life forms on earth, and the way it is exploited and abused. She is primarily a drawer, but her practice extends beyond drawing including laser cutting in the most recent years. Her recent solo exhibitions include "In Solidarity" at University of Massachusetts Lowell, MA; "The River" at the VanDernoot Gallery at Lesley University of Art and Design, Cambridge, MA; "Blue" at Kiniznik Gallery, Brandeis University, Waltham, MA. In 2016, Suzuki was an Artist in Residence at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, and she collaborated with researchers on her projects. In 2017, Suzuki will present the work conceived and completed during her residency at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard.
