About works

He primarily creates works with mountains as the main theme. By personally climbing mountains, he translates the physical movements gained from these experiences into his brushstrokes, expressing them as abstract landscapes. While using traditional Japanese painting mediums such as ink and mineral pigments, he explores new possibilities for flat, extended-surface artworks. Recently, he has been working on the Skin series, inspired by the textures of mountain surfaces, reflecting his interest in the relationship between himself and the world around him.
