Since 2005, Charles Quevillon has developed a direct approach to musical expression through his electroacoustic and instrumental work. He has collaborated on 18 projects with choreographer Tedd Robinson. In 2011, he was nominated for a Dora Award for outstanding sound design for Robinson's Sticks, commissioned by Yvonne Ng. He has also received grants from the CAC, CALQ, FQRSC and the Socan Foundation. Through these close collaborations he has discovered a passion for movement, and performs many of his own works himself, such as Corde à Vide (2013), composed for a suspended musician at the centre of a chime of plucked-string instruments. This recent year, he composed an album of experimental songs on the theme of the perception of conscience and the senses that will be coming out shortly. Charles Quevillon is Artistic Associate with 10 Gates Dancing, and co-director of Centre Q : a centre for questioning.
