Sol Otero was born in Madrid. She is a member of one of the most important families to contribute to the cycling tradition and cycling promotion in Spain. Daughter of bicycle designer and craftsman Enrique Otero, who invented the famous "Pentax" bike frame geometry that revolutionized the technology employed in competition bikes.
