About works

Nishikawa is interested in immaterial expressions such as performance, conceptual art, and video art since the 1960s. Exhibitions she has curated at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo include retrospectives of Fluxus artists such as Ay-O and Shigeko Kubota, and the exhibition “Making Situations and Editing Landscapes,”in which she collaborated with artists who create situations rather than forms.
