Through my creative practice, I have come to the experiential understanding that "painting is a surface—at once fabric and akin to skin."
My process involves layering interfacing and cloth beneath a painted canvas, then stitching them together to create a quilted surface.
This act is intended to flesh out the fabric support, giving it a physical presence.
The intent is to emphasize the aspect of fabric as skin, rather than viewing it merely as a functional surface for capturing images.
