Born in 1980. Graduated from Physics (BA), Turkey in 2002.

Recent 5 main activities (personal exhibitions, group exhibitions, concerts) are Jerry (short fiction film/2011/ Berlinale Talent Campus), Fathers and Sons (short documentary film/2012/ Krakow Film Festival), SIVAS (Feature Debut/2014/ 71^st Venice Film Festival, Main Competition)

My feature debut SIVAS was world premiered in 71^st Venice Film Festival in the main competition and awarded with Special Jury Prize. After travelling more than eighty international film festivals such as Tokyo International Film Festival, Brisbane Asia Pacific Screen (Best Youth Award), Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival (The Ecumenical Jury Award), Duhok International Film Festival (Yılmaz Güney Award), Palm Springs International Film Festival (Awards Buzz Showcase), Days of Cinema Palestine, it was distributed in cinemas in several countries including Turkey, Germany and Japan. SIVAS was also the official entry from Turkey for the Best Foreign Language Film Oscars for the 88^th Academy Awards. My second feature film in development IGUANA TOKYO attended at the Cinefondation L'Atelier of the 69^th Cannes Film Festival.
